Massachusetts Mental Health Center
The project is part of the Massachusetts Mental Health Center Redevelopment project located in the Longwood Medical Area. The project will provide approximately 550,000 sf within three new buildings. The redevelopment includes research and office space, redevelopment space for Massachusetts Mental Health Center, and residential units. The Biomedical Research Institute Building is comprised of 348,000 sf on 12 floors to provide the Brigham and Woman’s Hospital space for research, outpatient clinics, a vivarium, and imaging center. The project adds 70,000 sf for the replacement of the Massachusetts Mental Health Center and 400 below ground parking spaces. The project is a collaboration between the state, the hospital, and the local housing authority.
