Oak Square YMCA
The architecture of this YMCA provides a bridge between two adjacent parks by means of an internal skylit “street”. The 39,000 square foot facility provides people of all abilities with a state of the art fitness center, beach entry and lap pools, regulation gym, aerobics studio, child care area, and community space. Internal glazing and light wells help to orient users inside the large building, allowing views between floors and program areas. Multifunctional spaces allow for flexible programming.
